Andrea Rosenblume, Your Personal Healthcare Advocate

My Focus

I am passionate about insuring that each individual in our community has access to the help and resources necessary to navigate through their own unique network of healthcare providers to receive high quality, timely and affordable care.  This passion for my work stems from my personal experience fighting to meet the healthcare needs of my own parents and family.

My Professional Experience

I have 18 years of experience working in the healthcare sector as an Occupational Therapist providing direct patient care, and working in managerial and leadership roles.  I worked as an OT in healthcare systems in the San Francisco Bay Area, including acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, and home healthcare.  I have a special interest in working with the senior population, but also have extensive experience working with both younger and older adults. Through my healthcare advocacy practice, I am committed to making access to quality healthcare as easy and stress-free as possible for my clients, and to providing them with exceptional customer service. I look forward to improving the care and quality of life for each of my clients through my role as their healthcare advocate and partner.

My Work in the Community

I have lived with my husband and two grown children in the Sacramento area for 20 years.  I started my career as an Occupational Therapist in the San Francisco area, where I was born.  I learned how to deliver exceptional customer service by working in my parents’ San Francisco pharmacy.  My family and I have been active in our community, volunteering and participating in events for non-profit organizations that are meaningful to us, such as the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society and American Red Cross.  In my spare time, I design jewelry, enjoy time with friends at Starbucks and am a big fan of the San Francisco Giants.

My Academic Background, Training, Licensing, and Certification

I received my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California and my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from the University of California, Davis.  I am certified in the practice of Healthcare Advocacy and earned my Certified Healthcare Advocate (CHA) certificate by successfully completing the Healthcare Liaison, Inc.® Credentialing Program. I am a current member in good standing of the National Association of Healthcare Advocacy Consultants (NAHAC), the Alliance of Professional Health Advocates (APHA) and Bay Area Health Care Advocates.
